DBX files are a proprietary file type used by Microsoft Outlook Express. Outlook Express is the starter version of Microsoft Outlook, the world’s most popular e-mail client. Unlike its big brother program Outlook, which stores emails and e-mail applications in a specific data base known as a PST file, Outlook Express stores messages and applications in individual files using the DBX extension. There are two particular problems that occur when dealing with Outlook Express DBX files. Both of these require a program to repair DBX information.
